About this tour

 Day 1 — Yosemite National Park | Half Dome
Days 1-2: San Francisco, Yosemite National Park
After a brief fling with San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, hit the old prospectors’ trail to the east into Yosemite National Park. There’s some memorable eye candy around here, from huge granite cliffs and the chiselled landmarks of El Capitan and Half Dome to the highest waterfalls in North America. Yosemite is also home to some of the oldest trees in the world, the mighty Giant Sequoias which tower above the park, and let’s not forget the unbelievable array of incredible wildlife, from bears to coyotes. Throw in the colors of a picture-perfect sunset, plus a chilled drink or two, and you’ve got one awesome California experience with your new Trek buddies.
 Day 2 — The Strip
Days 3-4: Las Vegas
Time to put those lucky numbers to the test, not to mention your energy levels, in this 24/7 party town. A-list stars swarm here, although breaking the bank may be easier than blagging your way into their swanky celebrity hangouts. If that fails, you can still cruise The Strip in an included party bus tour, or indulge to the max at one of the famous all-you-can-eat buffets. Why not hit the roller coasters, check out a show, or take an evening flight down The Strip? Alternatively, get yourself hitched by Elvis Presley – don’t worry, it’s not legally binding… unless you want it to be!
 Day 3 — Grand Canyon National Park | Bright Angel Trail | Las Vegas

Day 5: Grand Canyon National Park
Leaving Las Vegas behind (and hopefully not all your dollars), strike out across the desert in search of one of the ‘Seven Natural Wonders of the World’, the Grand Canyon. As soon as you lay eyes on this super special place, you’ll want to give Mother Nature a well-deserved high five! Take to the sky on an optional helicopter tour to witness the Grand Canyon’s monumental red-and-gold formations from up high. Hike deep into the canyon on the Bright Angel Trail or check out the aptly named ‘Ooh Aah Point’ on the South Kaibab Trail. From sunrise to sunset the mighty Grand Canyon will leave you breathless!

 Day 4 — Colorado | Seligman

Day 6: Route 66, Colorado River
After a beautiful sunrise, head west to Seligman on the original Route 66. This town is full of quirky Americana, so why not grab some pop art and awesome road trip memorabilia for the folks back home? After all this exploring, treat yourself to a super-super-thick shake at the Snow Cap Diner before heading to the Colorado River where there might be time to swim and take in stunning views. You’ll stay overnight in nearby Laughlin.

 Day 5 — Joshua Tree National Park
Day 7: Laughlin, Joshua Tree, Los Angeles
Follow the sun back to the Pacific and arrive in the sprawling ‘City of Angels’. You’ll have time to stop on the way at Joshua Tree National Park, a desert oasis where cacti and boulders will form the backdrop to your prickly selfies! Even the drive there encapsulates the very essence of an all-American road trip out west. This afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to weave between clumped rock formations and marvel at ancient Indian petroglyphs on a hike to Barker Dam or scramble through the Hidden Valley before the show-stopping sights at Keys View. From here you can admire sweeping views of the Coachella Valley (yep, the home of the world’s most epic festival!), dazzling mesas, and dusty desert mountains.  Your tour ends on arrival into LA.If you have time to spend a few extra days in this vibrant and exciting city, check out our city guide on how to get the best out of your time here.This tour ends at approximately 17:00 hrs.
